AREA WINERIES

With over 100 wineries, it's well known
that Virginia soil is great for growing
grapes. WineCountry.com lists Virginia
among its Wine Regions, along with
twelve California counties including
Sonoma, Napa Valley, Monterey, and
Lodi, among others.

On the cusp of the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan Area,
Fauquier County lies at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
in Virginia's Piedmont area - certainly among the most scenic
regions in all of Virginia. Gently rolling hills against the backdrop
of the Blue Ridge, horse farms, fields lined by stone walls and
wood fences, quaint towns and villages - this is Fauquier County.

Here you can also find national and international award-winning
wineries and vineyards, taste their wines, walk among the vines,
and enjoy the views. The tasting rooms and atmosphere
provided by individual wineries are as varied as the wines
you'll taste.

Most wineries have weekend hours during the winter months,
and are open virtually seven days a week for the rest of the year.
What better way to spend a cold winter day?
