The WARF includes a 25 yard by 25 meter indoor Competition and
Fitness Pool, a Leisure Pool with a Water Slide,
a Lazy River, additional
play features, a Zero Depth Entry Pool and a Therapy Pool which has
104 degree water.
In addition, the Pool Level has a Party Room for birthday parties, end of
season parties or any other event that can
be held in a 900 square foot

Sumerduck, VA | Most of the management area's 4,539 acres are in
southern Fauquier County with the balance
being in Culpeper County.
The Rappahannock River and several small streams cross the area
and a three-acre
pond is located near the center of the property. Activities
offered include: public sighting-in range, hunting, fishing,
hiking, wildlife
viewing, and canoeing.
Location: Park is located near the village of Sumerduck, and is accessible
by Route 651, either south from
U.S. Route 29 through the Town of
Remington, or from U.S. Route 17, one mile north of Goldvein Post Office.

Midland, VA | The county’s largest lakeside park offering a wide range
of recreational opportunities including:
fishing, boat rentals, boat launch
facilities, nature trails, picnicking, picnics shelters, horseshoes, volleyball,
a ropes course (by reservation), a 1.5 mile cross country trail for hiking and
for biking, jogging, and winter skiing.
The park also features a 200-seat
amphitheater.

Rates: Free for Fauquier County vehicles; $6 for Non-Fauquier vehicles;
Shelters for rent.

Warrenton, VA | Located on Alexandria Pike in Old Town Warrenton, this small community
park offers
playground facilities,
a picnic shelter and basketball courts
all conveniently located in Old Town. |

Delaplane, VA | 4,000 acres and many miles of natural-surface trails,
located in Northwestern Fauquier County.
Offers hunting; fishing in a
10-acre lake stocked with trout and populated with bass, catfish and
sunfish; spectacular
displays of wildflowers; and hiking on the
Appalachian Trail. Horseback riding is permitted on the trails,
but not
recommended during hunting season.
Location: The lower portion of the area is accessible from I-66 at Markham
by taking 688 north,
or from U.S. Route 17, near Paris, on 688 south. The
upper portion is reached from state Route 55 at Linden,
north on Route 638
and a fire trail to the Davenport Tract.

Midland, VA | This historic site has a picnic area at the trailhead with tables
and grills, plus a .75-mile hiking trail
that meanders along a stream back
to a dedication monument to the Honorable Supreme Court Justice John Marshall.
Location: One mile south off Rte. 28 on Germantown Road (Route 649), just past the railroad tracks.

4354 Lake Brittle Road, New Baltimore, VA
A 77-acre park constructed in 1953 as a public fishing lake. Lake Brittle
supports a warm water fish community
including largemouth bass, bluegill,
redear sunfish, black crappie and channel catfish. In addition to fishing,
the
park offers boat rentals, hiking, picnic facilities by lake, and concessions.
Location: Lake Brittle is located just to the southeast of New Baltimore
off of Route 29/Route 15. Signs for
Lake Brittle will be seen as you reach
Route 600 intersection and the Route 215 intersection.

Located in Vint Hill off Route 652, at 4248 Bludau Drive, Warrenton, VA
The L shaped family pool is 25 meters long with a water depth ranging
from 2 - 6 feet. There is an ADA accessible
zero depth ramp that enters the
water and a 25-meter lap lane. A separate children’s pool is available for
kids up
to 42 inches in height. The children’s pool has a maximum depth
of 2 feet, and there is a water-drop misting
mushroom, a squirt turtle,
fountains and a frog slide. Locker rooms, showers, a family changing room,
and
concession vending are available.

The Gold Mining Camp Museum at Monroe Park is the only museum in Virginia solely dedicated to the history
of gold and gold mining. Monroe Park, located off Route 17 in Goldvein, Virginia, is a wonderful place to learn
about local history, relax, and get together with family and friends with its many recreational facilities.
Come visit the museum and learn about the gold mining industry in Fauquier County. Explore the Mess Hall,
Assay Office and Bunk House, outfitted as they would have been in the 1920's and 1930's. Take a step back to
over 80 years ago and learn about a long forgotten part of Virginia history! The museum’s hours are Wednesday
through Saturday, 9:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., and Sunday from 12:00 to 4:00 p.m. And please visit the

March through October, gold panning demonstrations are held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday through Sunday
with an additional demonstration on Saturday at 10 a.m.(weather permitting).

a paved walking/biking trail, a stocked children's fishing lake, indoor restrooms, and concession stands.
Eight picnic shelters, an amphitheatre, and a meeting room are available
for reservation.

With rolling pastures and woodlands, the park boasts beautiful vistas of
the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains
and access to the Appalachian
Trail. Activities include hiking, primitive camping, picnicking, fishing, and
horseback riding. Nature and history programs introduce visitors to the
unique ecology and rich history of the area.
The historic Mount Bleak House
is open for tours, April through November.
12 miles of hiking trails with access to the Appalachian Trail;
6 miles of bridle trails (all natural-surface trails)
Location: The park consists of 1,862-acres and is located less than 2 miles south
of Paris, VA, via US Route 50
to Route 17 South; or 7 miles north of I-66,
via Exit 23 on Route 17 North. The entrance to the park is located on
State
Route 710.
Parking/Admission: $3 per vehicle (weekdays);
$4 per vehicle (weekends & holidays); $3 per horse trailer.

Located at the end of 4th Street, Old Town Warrenton
This combination path and historic area has become a focal point for
downtown Warrenton. The trail stretches
a distance of 1.48 miles, from the
Railyard trail head behind the Claire's at the Depot restaurant in downtown
Warrenton to the Old Meetze Trailhead on the cul-de-sac at Old Meetze
Road, adjacent to Warrenton Mini Storage.
In addition to the actual work
on trail installation, the old turntable has also been uncovered.
