At Shadowlawn and St. James Church at 73 Culpeper Street in Old Town Warrenton
On Saturday evenings throughout the summer, families, neighbors and visitors
gather for outdoor Bluemont concerts in Old Town Warrenton. Audiences enjoy
world-class jazz, bluegrass, Celtic music, rock, rhythm and blues, zydeco, African
dance, folk music and more.
Many people bring picnics to enjoy during the show. People of all ages are welcome.
All Bluemont concerts are smoke-free and alcohol is prohibited. Pets are not allowed
in the concert areas. Cost: $5 adults; $4 Bluemont Friends & Seniors; $2 kids under 12

Twilight Polo at Great Meadow

Great Meadow, The Plains..... Gates open at 6:30pm; First (of 2) matches begins 7pm
5089 Old Tavern Road, The Plains
Great Meadow, host to the Virginia Gold Cup steeplechase races, is a world class
international polo field that has been described as one of the best playing surfaces
between New York and Aiken. Great Meadow Polo Club has over 75 playing members,
making it one of the largest in the region.
During the summer more than 20,000 fans - young professionals as well as families --
gather at Great Meadow with tailgates and picnics to watch the Twilight Polo program.
Two matches are held every Saturday night beginning at 7:00 P.M.(gates open at 6:30
P.M) until September 13, 2008 and many stay after the games to enjoy moonlight
dancing to the music of a DJ.
New in 2008: Enjoy the a sampling of the region's best food from Market Salamander
and Boss Hawg BBQ to be purchased on site. Enjoy a bottle of wine by the flickering
fire cressets on our brand new entertainment deck as the polo players gallop by.

Twisted K Pro Bull Riding

Great Meadow, The Plains..... Gates open at 5pm, action starts at 6pm
The Twisted K Ranch is returning to Great Meadow with the thrills and excitement
that are professional bull riding.

The country-western style evening event has something for everyone from the cutest
cowboy and cowgirl competitions to other rodeo type events in which members of the
audience can participate including wild cow milking and more.

The feature is the professional cowboys riding the bulls for 8 seconds under the
lights in the Great Meadow Stadium. With style points added, the top placing cowboy
walks away with the winners share of $10,000.
Tickets: Tickets are available at the online through the website, save money and
time by purchasing in advance. Advance Adult General Admission tickets are $15;
Children under 12 are $10; Reserved bleacher seating is $25.

The purpose of the Fauquier Civil War Roundtable is to provide a framework for
persons to learn and exchange views about our country's history during the period
of the U.S. Civil War. Started in the Fall of 1998, the Roundtable is a membership
group open to all with an interest in this period of our history, regardless where they
live or which side they favor. Speaker to be announced.

Balloon activities will be held both morning and afternoon with the World Famous
Flying Circus Airshow being presented each afternoon at 2:30. Balloons will be
launched in the early morning (6-7am) and late afternoon (5-7pm). Take an air
balloon ride, or just sit back and enjoy the view.

One of the oldest hunter/jumper shows in the United States. The five-day event
involves horse & rider competitions in classes for hunters, jumpers, junior hunters,
ladies side saddle, Hunt teams, Hunt pairs and field hunters. Don't miss Hunt Day
