Nestled in a small town filled with character, surrounded by the Piedmont and sharing walls with The Rooms Up There, the drawing room serves as a great location for: weddings, private events, nonprofit events, corporate events, seminars, concerts and more.
Located in a facility that has been expanding since 1800, our facility features the type of character only found in a rural setting. From the charm of the rake of the old porch roof which is now the main hall of the guest suites, to the hidden original storehouse with it’s two foot thick stone walls and the log construction of the two story 1820’s retail shop your stay with us will be full of all the charm and history you’d expect during your rural weekend retreat.
You’ll access The Rooms Up There through a lovely private courtyard and enter via the coded private side entrance of 8393 West Main, designated by the sign of the pointing victorian hand.
In the foyer you will find a welcome package and your keys. Making your way upstairs (Up There) you’ll let yourself into one of three private king guest suites. The suites average a comfortable 300 sqft, all with private marble bathrooms featuring hand crafted Italian faucetry.
The first two guest rooms, Storehouse One and Storehouse Two, are located above the original stone store house built on the property in 1800.
At the end of the hall toward the front of the building and to the left, you will find the third suite, the Counting Room. This room occupies the second floor of the second structure built on lot 41, a two story log structure that was originally built as a side entrance retail shop in the 1820’s. Fittingly on the first floor resides Domestic Aspirations — Fine Home Furnishings.
Across the hall from the Counting Room is the Commons, a comfortably furnished room where guests can gather to socialize and relax at the end of funfilled days full of area equestrian events, wine tasting, antique hunting, and local fine dining.
